During the past week, I have taken a couple of evenings to import some CD’s that I have had on the shelf for several years. Most of these CD’s I purchased because I liked one song on the CD – and, well, back in 1999 there was no such thing as an iPod.
I have got a treasure trove of stuff – some good – some not so good. None eclectic enough for DaveE’s taste. Most would get a dour look from Schultize. But hey – some of the tunes are nice – and some is cutting edge (well for 1997).
Here is a nice cross sampling of what I’ve imported (and listened to this week):
Face Value – by Phil Collins – this is a classic album – every song is incredible – and for those of you who have a melancholy side – there’s some real gut wrenchers. Some chick really did old Phil wrong back in the day.
Cracked Rear View – by Hootie & the Blowfish – what else can I say except I was one of the 25 million who bought the album. Were you?
The Hits – by Garth Brooks – All the best from the king of 90′s country music.
Jesus Freak – by dc Talk – Can you believe that I own it? Wow.
Slow Revival – by Bryan Duncan – yeah, yeah, his theology is bad. But I am a sucker for this guys voice. He has mad vocal skills.
Right now – I have 1,213 songs on the iPod. Let’s take a SURVEY. If you have any of the above referenced CD’s – let me know. I’ll do the tally later.
Time to get back to importation of musica.
