Google earth - wow!

I have tubed about an hour this evening touring the planet.  Yep - touring the planet.  I spent a little while looking at Yosemite National Park - and then I cruised on over to San Francisco - checked out PNC Park, where Steroid Boy smacks baseballs into the bay - then I rolled on down to L.A. and checked out Malibu beach and the Santa Monica Pier (I wanted to find the scene of the crime where O.J. murdered those two people, but maybe another night) - I then got a wild hair and cruised on over to Leavenworth, Kansas, a place I haven’t been since 1978.  I cruised around the town looking at the Federal Pen and the Army Base - and I found our old apartments on Stonleigh Court.  I traced the steps that I’d take to walk to Howard Wilson Elementary School - all in an effort to avoid the school bus. In Leavenworth - the 3rd graders were on the same bus as the high schoolers - and I was the geek then that I am now - and they picked on me.  I walked about a mile to school - in snow in the winter - and uphill!  Across softball fields that are still there.  WOW!

And so - after my journey - I offer you this photo of a parcel of land in Dawson County, Georgia.  It is 20 acres.  Not quite 40 and the redemption to be found therein.  But it is #1 with a bullet.

We’ll see how it works out.

Be blessed folks.  Good night.
