Every year, Just about this time

Every year, just about this time, the air begins to cool off. As fall grows deeper here in the deep south, you can step outside and smell the crispness of the air. It covers you like a nice cool hug - and if you happen to be wearing shorts and a sweatshirt, it is like climbing into a bed with a nice, warm blanket on a chilly night. Can you tell that I dig the fall?

Every year, just about this time, the Georgia Football team loads up a bus or a plane - and heads down to Jacksonville for what was once called the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. The Gator Bowl (Alltel Stadium) is packed to the brim with puke orange and blue - and red and black. I venture to guess that more than 50% of the adults in the stadium are pretty liquored up - filled to the brim with some sort of hard liquor and overflowing with hatred for the opponent’s football team, mascots, and head coaches.

Every year, just about this time, Gator fans of all sorts head on down to Goody’s to pick up a new pair of jean shorts and then they cruise on over to Walmart and pick up some tank tops (most likely in packs of eight). Brave men, seeking to honor their Gators as they move into battle - exercise their time honored tradition and head on down to the Great Clips to get that Mullet cut just right. Business in front, party in back.

Every year, just about this time, it’s UGA vs. UF.

Every year, just about this time the Dawgs get their hopes up.

Every year, just about this time the Dawgs get their butts whooped. (Well, at least 15 of the last 17 years).

Bulldawgy prediction: It don’t look good for the Dawgs folks. Florida 31 Georgia 17.

UGA I am still a fan, folks. Just keeping it real. UGA
