With your musical tendencies in mind, I suggest the new "Glory Revealed" project. Simple, almost bluegrass instrumentation to support songs with direct scripture quotations for lyrics. Mac Powell, Candi Pearson-Shelton, MWS, Shane and Shane, SCC, Mark Hall, Brian Littrell, David Crowder, and others contribute. Also consider the new Steve Fee record. He's become a good writer and it shows on what I have heard of it. If you like the heavyness of Daughtry and still like to sing loud (scream) in the car, you may wanna check out the Foo Fighters. It's not as slick, but a lot of great ideas from Dave Grohl. One more. If you don't have Journey's "Escape" album (album, yes I went there) get it. Great songs, melodies, and vocals. You can sing along an octave down. :-) Hope that helps. If I think of more I'll post again. Hmm…
