1 for 2. But considering that I had 365 days….

Back at the beginning of 2007, I set two goals for myself for the year as follows:

(1) Land somewhere on eschatology. Post-trib, pre-trib, mid-trib, a-mill, partial praetorist, full pop-tart - anything! Study the word. Read some writings of great minds. Make up my mind.

Well - I whiffed this one. Swing and a miss. The sad thing is, I never really got to the point of starting on this one. There was always something that seemed more important.**

(2) Write and record more music. Well, I am going to call this one a bloop single to right field. I found time (and emotional inspiration) to write and complete three full songs - that I actually like. The bloop part is that they haven’t been recorded. :-( The Chilly Dog Studio has been temporarily shut down - as my keyboard was destroyed by jelly (thanks, Ellie) and I have moved the Mac to the bedroom in anticipation of tax season. There will be time… there will be time.

So, there you have it, if you were interested. 1 for 2. Hopefully, I can put some new requirements together for 2008… and soon.

************UPDATE****************

** Uh, for further clarification - it seemed more important than defining my eschatalogical viewpoint - not more important than reading/studying the Scriptures. I’m not that whack, folks. ;-)

[…] Bulldawgy has inspired me to set goals for this year. I must admit his eschatological goal was quite ingenious and is probably something I should put a little effort into myself. Not so much to find anything to mark my calendar by, but to be able to cut past all the misinformation, tradition and fiction for myself. […]
