So, after a great deal of effort (at least it seemed like it to me), I had in my hand about 11 a.m. on Friday, my Septic Permit. Don’t get me started on the two revisions to the site plan, the trip to Snellville, then to Canton, and then back to Canton the next day. Sigh.
It is done.
So, before I left Canton Friday a.m., I filled out the application for the Erosion Control permit. All I needed to have completed was my Double-Row Type C DOT Silt Fence along the creek, my septic permit, and my permit box. I got all of those - and the inspection is Monday a.m. I hope it goes smoothly.
If it does, then I will drive back to Canton and apply for my building permit. I went over all my paper work with the building department on Friday. There should be no hitches, they say.
Famous last words, right?

Permits? Plans? Building Codes? Erosion Surveys?
Two words……Gub Mint.
I admire your persistence.
What happened to the good old old days where if you owned a piece of land you could just start digging a big hole in the ground and let the chips fall?
Congrats my Brother!!!!
This may be a bit off topic but … only 17 days and 1 hour left until game day.
Off topic indeed…..I never do that.
Guiroo - thank you for keeping it real for me. I was lamenting just the other day my lack of interest or excitement over the up coming football season. Seems my brain has too many processes spooling around in it. I have a Windows brain, not a Mac brain.
